In this opinion piece, Caitlin Hollister and Wendy Soref, two elementary school teachers in Boston, examine Davis Guggenheim's documentary "Waiting for Superman." They find that the film calls for more committed, effective teachers, but fails to explain how to acheive this. They suggest that making "good teachers great" will involve more feedback, collaboration, and the ability to utilize achievement test data to best support their students.
