What happens when at-risk student populations are given curriculum and instruction methods designed for gifted students? According the Project Bright IDEA in North Carolina, they rise to the challenge. Based on the belief that "all students can learn gifted behavior," the program focuses on retraining instructors to use strategies typically applied only to advanced student groups, and use them with their classrooms at large.
